Much of the County is taken up by the South Downs, the third-largest national park in the UK with 4 market towns and 2000 miles of walks – including the well known South Downs Way.

West Sussex is full of National Trust and country house properties and dotted with pretty villages with their strong sense of community, lovely walks and country pubs.  Villages local to the College are Ardingly, Lindfield, Cuckfield, Balcome, and Horsted Keynes. All are within a few minutes drive to Haywards Heath mainline railway station with its fast and frequent services to Gatwick, London and the south coast.

Coast

The South Coast offers a variety of seaside locations, from the sweeping beaches of the Witterings to the flamboyancy of Brighton. Eastbourne and Littlehampton are particularly popular with families.

Culture and City Life

If it is the party or cultural scene you are after, head to Brighton or London. Museums, theatres, nightclubs, restaurants are in abundance and are easily accessible both day and night.

Ardingly College is located between Crawley and Haywards Heath close to the M23, A23, and A272. Just 35 miles south of London and 20 miles north of Brighton, making it easily accessible via the UK road network.

London Gatwick Airport is 10 miles away. Heathrow, Luton and Stansted airports are also within easy reach via the M25 and M23.

The nearest mainline station is Haywards Heath (3.7miles) with regular trains servicing Brighton (15 mins) Gatwick (11mins) and London (46mins).
