At Ardingly, we believe that academic excellence is at its strongest when it is combined with outstanding pastoral care, breadth of opportunity and a genuine understanding of every young person as an individual.
Our aim is to provide a holistic education that prepares the whole child not only for examination success, but also for the opportunities and challenges of a rapidly changing world. Above all, we want our young people to be happy and successful (in that order), showing kindness and care and developing the knowledge, confidence, character and adaptability to be World Ready so as to thrive in whatever path they choose.
Although we are inspired by our spacious and impressive school grounds, it is the people of the Ardingly community which makes it such a special place. Ardingly is distinctive because of the balance we strike between challenge and support, tradition and innovation, and individual achievement and community spirit. Whether in the classroom, through co-curricular activities, on the sports field, in the performing arts or through service to others, pupils are supported to feel comfortable in their own skin and [or are allowed to be who they are while] encouraged to embrace opportunities, think independently and contribute positively to the world around them.
