At Ardingly we are proud of each and every student’s individual achievement, as well as their collective success. This year’s results illustrate the high standards of academic ambition we have for all our students and we are particularly proud of the exceptional ‘value add’ scores, with every student achieving, on average, more than a grade higher, per subject, in their public exams than their baseline tests on entry predict.

Outstanding Sixth Form Results

The Class of 2026 achieved fantastic outcomes: our IB Diploma cohort achieved an average of 39.5 points, placing Ardingly comfortably among the top ten schools in the UK for the IB.

Particular congratulations are due to the 24 students who achieved three or more A*s-As at A-Levels, as well as to the 19 students who scored 40 or over in the IB Diploma.

  • 58% of exams were at the top two grades of A*-A, 7-6 or D*-D

  • 25% of exams were at the top A*, 7 or Distinction* grade

Fantastic GCSE Results

Ardingly’s Year 11 students have again achieved some fantastic GCSE results!  An outstanding 70% of all grades were awarded the top grades of 9-7 (the equivalent of the previous A* and A grades) and the overall average grade achieved by our students was an A, at 7.15.

Over half of all exams taken were graded at the top 9-8 (old A* grade) and particular congratulations are due to the 37 students who achieved eight or more GCSES at the top 9-8 grades.

The statistic we’re proudest of, however, is that Ardingly is in the top 1% of schools in the country for value add with our students achieving, on average, more than a grade higher, per subject, at GCSE than their baseline testing on entry predicted.

Ardingly Named in Top 1% of UK Schools for Value Add

Ardingly is proud to have been named in the top 1% of schools nationally for student progress: with our students achieving, on average, well over a grade higher at GCSE, for every subject, than their baseline testing on entry predicted. Many congratulations to all our teachers and students on this exceptional achievement!
