Ardingly Wins The Week’s ‘Best Preparation for Life’ Award
Ardingly is delighted to have been recognised by The Week’s School Awards as offering the ‘Best Preparation for Life’. This prestigious award is fantastic external validation for our whole World Ready approach to education and, in particular, for our innovative Enterprise & Employability programme to prepare our students for a changing world of work.
Our Director of Enterprise & Employability, Julie Halliday, commented: “I’m really delighted that our forward-looking approach to careers has been recognised with this prestigious award from The Week. We’ve done a lot in the past year but we’re really just getting started – watch this space for further innovations!”
The Head of Ardingly College, Ben Figgis, added:
“It’s fantastic to see The Week recognise our World Ready approach, which is embedded throughout our curriculum. While we are proud of our students’ fantastic academic success, it’s clear that exam results are not the only – or even the most important – indicator of a young person’s potential to succeed in the rapidly changing world in which we live. To meet this challenge, last year we revised and renewed our World Ready mission for the next generation, placing Enterprise & Employability as one of the six key components at the centre of all we do as a school.”
