Ardingly College has once again demonstrated its strength in mathematics, with students achieving outstanding results in both national and international competitions.

Náboj Mathematics Competition

Earlier in the year, three Ardingly teams competed for the first time in the prestigious Náboj Mathematics Competition. This international event involved over 750 teams from 15 countries, challenging students with two hours of increasingly complex mathematical problems designed to test both knowledge and teamwork. Our students rose to the occasion with exceptional skill and collaboration:

  • Junior Team (Fifth Form) – 1st in the UK
  • Senior A Team – 6th in the UK
  • Senior B Team – 22nd in the UK
This remarkable debut reflects the dedication, preparation, and problem-solving abilities of all those involved. We are hugely proud of our students’ performance and grateful to Dulwich College for hosting such an inspiring event.

UK’s Intermediate Maths Challenge

In another notable success, 32 Ardingly students were awarded Gold Certificates in the UK’s Intermediate Maths Challenge, with 26 qualifying for the next round. Even more impressively, five students have advanced to the Maths Olympiad, placing them in the top few hundred out of more than 230,000 entrants nationwide.

A particular mention goes to Thomas, who achieved the maximum possible score of 135—placing him among the top handful of students in the UK for his age group.
