Choice of Academic Pathways

Sixth Form > Choice of Academic Pathways

Ardingly is unusual among leading British independent schools in offering our Sixth Formers a real breadth of choice in terms of which academic pathway is best for them.

Around two thirds of our Sixth Formers will choose A Levels (or a combination of A Levels and BTECs) and the remaining third will study for the IB Diploma.

Our academic team is available to provide expert advice and guidance to parents and students on which pathway, and choice of subjects, will best suit each individual student.

“I’m so pleased I had the choice to study IB or A-level and very much valued the advice and insight that my teachers gave in helping me to decide which would be the best path for me.”

Matthew, Upper Sixth student
