Creation of a ‘Leavers Wood’

A group of Upper Sixth have embarked on a rewilding project. The idea is to return an area of land in school to a more natural state, planted with trees to absorb carbon dioxide and provide food and habitats for animals. The school provided about four acres of land next to the new car park and the Upper Sixth are currently planting over 400 trees.

The cliché is that trees are planted for the next generation, but the Upper Sixth will be able to come back and see them fully grown.
