As we concluded a busy and productive first half of term, students and staff once again laced up their trainers for the much-anticipated Steepo cross-country — so named for the “steep-ish” hill that marks the final stretch of the course overlooking the reservoir.

With glorious autumn sunshine and firm ground underfoot, conditions were ideal for running. A remarkable 745 students crossed the finish line, joined by an enthusiastic group of staff who took on the challenge in equally good humour — some even in non-traditional running attire!

Congratulations to all our fastest runners and to the winning Houses, with Pearson and Burgess taking top honours in the Middle School races and Thorne in the Lower School

Congratulations to the houses who were awarded the Endeavour Cups in recognition for teamwork and perseverance — those who encouraged every runner, finished together, and left no one behind.

Steepo remains one of Ardingly’s great community events: competitive, light-hearted, and a celebration of energy, effort and togetherness.
