Ardingly’s Year 11 students are today celebrating achieving some fantastic GCSE results!  A remarkable 76% of all grades were awarded the top grades of 9-7 (the equivalent of the previous A* and A grades) and the average grade achieved by our students was 7.41, which is our highest ever for a non-Covid year.

Special congratulations are due to the nine students who achieved straight 9s, while over half (52%) of all grades were graded 9s or 8s. Well done to all our Year 11 students on their excellent GCSE results!

Ardingly’s Head, Ben Figgis, commented:  “Huge congratulations to all our Year 11 students. This is a brilliant set of GCSE results and they should be very proud that all their hard work has paid off so handsomely.  We expect great things from this year group as they embark on their Sixth Form studies next term! A big thank you also to our talented team of teaching staff for all their help and support to this year group.”

In terms of next steps, the College offers our students a wide range of options for their Sixth Form studies. These include the choice of studying for the IB Diploma at Sixth Form, or A-Levels (with 25 different subjects offered) plus EPQs (Extended Project Qualifications) and the opportunity to mix A Levels with a BTEC in Sports Science or Business.

Earlier this summer, Ardingly’s students achieved outstanding A Level and IB Diploma results, with the College now ranked in the top 5 British schools for the IB Diploma and in the Top 10 schools globally (out of 5,600 schools around the world!)
