Many congratulations to Ardingly’s Class of 2025 on achieving excellent A-Level, IB Diploma and BTEC results this summer! A fantastic 25% of A Level and IB grades were at the top A* or 7 grades respectively, with 60% scoring at the top two grades of A*-A or 7-6.

Particular congratulations to the 19 students who achieved straight A*s and As at A-Levels this morning, as well as to the 24 students who scored 40 or over in the IB Diploma.

Our cohort who took the IB Diploma this summer have achieved a remarkable average of 40.1 (compared to a global average of 30.58) which puts Ardingly in the top 5 schools in the UK and makes us the highest ranked coeducational boarding school in the country for the IB Diploma.

Ardingly also offers BTECs, a more vocational qualification, in two subjects and we are delighted that, once again, 100% of our BTECs were graded at the top two grades of Distinction* and Distinction.

Ben Figgis, Head of the College, commented:  “A huge well done to all our Upper Sixth students on achieving such fantastic results in their A -Levels, IB Diploma and BTEC exams this summer. We are enormously proud of this cohort and wish them all the very best as they now head off to some of the most prestigious universities in the UK and around the world. Many thanks are also due to our outstanding team of teachers for all their advice, help and support for our sixth formers, including our excellent dedicated Sixth Form team.”

These wonderful results mean our students have secured their places to read a wide range of subjects at some of the leading universities in the world.  In the UK, these include confirmed places to read Natural Sciences at Cambridge University; Biochemistry at Edinburgh University; Chemistry at Warwick; Computer Science at Durham University; Physics at Imperial College, London; Economics at University College, London;  Economics & History at the London School of Economics; Electronic Engineering at Imperial College, London; Geography at Bristol University; Law at Durham University; Modern Languages at Bristol University; Music at Cambridge University; Philosophy & French at Oxford University; Politics & International Relations at King’s College, London; and Psychology at Warwick University.

Several students have also chosen to accept their overseas offers to outstanding North American, European and Asian universities including NYU, Duke, UC Berkeley, Colombia, Sciences Po, Bocconi, Frankfurt Business School, IE (Madrid) and Hong Kong University.
