Over 70 dancers from Year 7 through to Upper Sixth took to the stage for the college’s annual Senior Dance Show; Lost in Motion. Due to last years success, the show was over two nights and, once again, was a complete sell out.
The show featured over 20 routines of varying dance styles from Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Street Dance. Each routine had its own story to tell, which either had the audience clapping along, such as the vibrant ‘Candy Man’ or evoked a more emotional response like the Elite Dance Company’s choreography based on Domestic Violence.
The students involved were professional, committed and a delight to work with. Staff that attended described the event as ‘joyously happy’, ‘slick and professional’ and ‘inspirational’. Ia in Remove was awarded ‘Dancer of the Year’, whilst Minnie, also Remove, was the first recipient of our new ‘Rising Star’ award.
Ms. WIllis-Wood, Head of Dance.
