The Prep School had their annual Poetry Declamation, with all pupils from the Years 3-6 learning a poem off by heart and performed to their respective classes in the recital room. This is a fantastic opportunity for every child to develop their performance skills whilst reciting a poem in front of a live audience. Our Prep students all performed their poems with gusto, before voting for their favourite performances from each class, who would then proceed to the final.

Congratulations to our winner Thomas L!

I did the poem, “Love a Duck” by Roger McGough. It felt really nice to win as I wasn’t expecting it, as there were so many other brilliant people performing. It must have been very difficult to judge! Overall it was an enjoyable and nerve-wracking experience but it was totally worthwhile.
