Alumni & Development
From all of us in the Alumni & Development Office, we wish to extend our thoughts to all Old Ardinians who have been affected by the current COVID-19 Crisis.
As we begin the 2020 Trinity Term under the most unique circumstances of Ardingly history since World War II, we are heartened by the words of Winston Churchill, who observed that “out of intense complexities, intense simplicities emerge.”
Churchill’s words still resonate today as amidst the backdrop of a global pandemic, it is the simple action of staying at home that is enough to save our lives and the lives of others.
We are also reminded of the simple power of community, in particular, our OA community, which shares a common bond and has within it the ability to make a difference.
So, as we begin this term in unprecedented times, we welcome all OAs to participate in any way they feel inspired – perhaps picking up the phone to exchange memories of Ardingly or sharing expertise with current pupils – and to take heart in knowing that although we are apart, we remain very much together.
Wishing you all health in these turbulent times,
Alumni & Development Office
