Candidates are normally expected to apply for no more than two scholarship areas. While many pupils have talents and interests across a range of disciplines, scholarship awards are typically made in a single subject area, with multiple awards being rare.
Personal Statement
The personal statement should outline:
- Why they are applying and what excites them about the opportunity
- Their relevant experience, achievements or commitments in the scholarship area
- How they feel they would contribute to life at Ardingly if awarded a scholarship.
If a candidate is applying for more than one scholarship, please upload one document containing all required personal statements, making clear which parts are relevant for which scholarship application. The statement does not need to be long - around one side of A4 is usually sufficient per scholarship application.
Please provide a personal statement, written by the candidate, to give us a sense of their interests, motivations and suitability for the scholarship(s) they are applying for.

Yes
Means-tested bursaries are intended for families who would be unable to take up a place without additional financial support.
Please select this option only if additional support would be required for your child to attend Ardingly College, and our Finance Department will be in touch to being your bursary application.
Where specific access arrangements are required for the scholarship assessments (such as a word processor or extra time), please upload a copy of the EP report (or equivalent) outlining these requirements.
Current Ardingly College pupils do not need to upload access arrangements as this information is already held on record by the College
