Since 1st January 2025, all UK independent schools are required by law to charge Value Added Tax (VAT) of 20% on educational services and any boarding provision. The fees for the academic year 2026/27 on the links below are therefore inclusive of VAT.
VAT Mitigation
At Ardingly we have worked hard to minimise the impact of this legislative change on current and prospective families and therefore we continue to absorb a portion of the VAT. To date, Ardingly has passed on only 10% of the VAT to parents (in two phases of 5% each, in January 2025 and September 2025 respectively.) From September 2026, we will be passing on a further 2.5% of the VAT.
