Introduction
A curriculum that offers both breadth and depth provides students with the opportunity to develop a genuine love of learning.
The Year 7-9 curriculum is a vibrant, exciting and effective programme designed to challenge and inspire students, who without the constraints of Common Entrance are free to enjoy building their knowledge and the skills required to excel at GCSE.
In Shell, students are encouraged to undertake independent personal research, and students go on to complete HPQ, EPQ or Extended Essay qualifications during their time at Ardingly. These tasks are not only valuable in their own right but help students to develop the independent thinking skills required to succeed in the exam hall. Our exam results reflect the high standards of teaching at the College but also the extent to which students are inspired to strive for personal academic bests. The academic life at the College is inspiring and engaging, both within and beyond the classroom. During this year pupils start their Mathematics and Science .
In Remove students work towards their (I)GCSE success, deepening a love of subjects chosen, encouraging independent enquiry, and preparing pupils for a Sixth Form where a successful choice is the key to onward success and readiness for the world beyond.
“The quality of the students’ academic and other achievements is excellent.”
