Students at Ardingly College are fortunate to learn and live on a stunning 240-acre campus in the heart of the Sussex countryside, just 40 minutes from London and close to Gatwick, Brighton and the South Coast. Our setting combines natural beauty with exceptional facilities, creating a vibrant environment that inspires curiosity, creativity and wellbeing for both boarding and day pupils.

Our extensive grounds balance historic architecture, woodland, lake and modern facilities, reflecting the breadth of opportunity that defines an Ardingly education. The College has recently acquired the Ardingly Activity Centre on the Ardingly Reservoir, offering a range of watersports and outdoor learning experiences at the foot of our campus. Our recent redevelopment of our cricket nets is testiment to the continued investment in providing state-of-the-art training facilities for our students. Every pupil benefits from the sense of space and belonging our grounds provide, nurturing confidence, independence and ambition.

Ardingly’s location also supports a sustainable way of life. The College grounds are carefully managed to preserve biodiversity, promote outdoor learning and provide opportunities for service and environmental leadership. Many lessons, activities and events take place in the open air, making full use of our green spaces, woodland and lakeside environment at Ardingly Reservoir. Here, learning extends far beyond the classroom.

“If you like your schools good-looking, then this is the one for you. Designed by renowned gothic revivalist Richard Herbert Carpenter in the mid-19th century, its smart, ecclesiastical-style red brick buildings are spread across a showstopping country campus.”
