Academic Achievement

Pupils of all ages seek to achieve to the best of their ability and make excellent academic progress.

Children are assessed across all subject areas formally and informally. There are specific assessment weeks which take place in the Michaelmas and Trinity terms for Years 3-7. Standardised testing is also used annually to determine attainment with the majority of pupils achieving above average.

 

13+ Common Entrance Examinations are taken at the end of Year 8 in English, French, Mathematics and Science and there is an option of taking the WJEC foundation level GCSE in Latin.

13+ Common Entrance Examination Results Summer 2019:

  • 60% of Prep Pupils obtained an average grade of A*- A
  • 100% of Prep Pupils obtained an average grade of A*-C.
