Academic Achievement

“Pupils of all ages seek to achieve to the best of their ability and make excellent academic progress.”

ISI Report 2018

Children are assessed across all subject areas formally and informally. There are specific assessment weeks which take place in the Michaelmas and Trinity terms for Years 3-6. Standardised testing is also used annually to determine attainment with the majority of pupils achieving above average.

Whole school weekly ‘Celebration Assemblies’ are held to celebrate children’s work across all lessons, sporting achievements, music and drama awards amongst many others. The children have an opportunity to feel proud of their academic and cocurricular achievements.

At the end of each year, a whole school Prize-Giving ceremony is had to further celebrate children’s achievements across all subjects – a highlight of the year!
