- Discoverers: for ages 5-7 years old.

This ensures we can run great activities and team games with children of similar ages and interests.

On Theme Week Camps, our ratios are 1:10 across all age brackets.
Sometimes we might have dedicated Active Leaders for each age group and sometimes we will group different ages together, depending on how many children we have on camp each day.

*Sun Protection Guidelines
The APL team take a sensible approach to the application of sun cream to a child. The Active Camp staff are not permitted to apply sun cream directly to a child but will supervise children applying their own sun cream correctly to themselves. It is therefore suggested an application of sun cream is applied to your child before they attend the Active Camps and in addition are accompanied with a named bottle of sun cream for self-administration. It is also suggested children are shown how to apply sun cream prior to attending the Active camps.
It is also advisable to provide your child with a sun hat/cap on hot days and Active Camp leaders will encourage children to sit in the shade as required throughout the day and drink plenty of water.
Throughout the activity programme, scheduled breaks are included with snacks and refreshments. Children will be required to supply their own packed lunch.
Lunch & Breaks are fully supervised by Active Team Leaders.
Ardingly Active Camps operating hours are:
