The Pre-Prep hold a cake swap in aid of Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Rocking Horse donationThe Farmhouse Friends’ organised a Cake Swap on Friday 12th February and chose the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.  Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.  In return for their gift / donation the children received a cake, baked or bought by the parents in Year 1.
When The Friends approached Liz McCluskey, Schools & Community Fundraising Manager and asked what they could donate to help their cause, she suggested donations of art materials e.g. colouring books, colouring pencils, crayons, stickers and activity books that stimulate the children and provide a perfect distraction for them at evening and weekends when the play specialists are not on the wards.
Liz came along to the Special Assembly on Friday 12th February to talk a little about the important work that they do.  She was also able to take back to the Hospital all of those donations that the children have given.
