On Friday October 4th, we were visited by some near-naked cyclists who took a well-deserved break at Ardingly College. The group were cycling from London to Paris to raise money for the male cancer awareness charity: malecancer.org.
Catering at the College provided a wonderful pasta bake and the prefect team in Mertens House cooked two further pasta dishes. Accompanying the 25 or so riders was Greg Whyte, OBE, who thanked us for our fabulous hospitality.
Liz, one of the other riders, commented “Much-needed pasta, coffee and sandwiches were a welcome sight for body and soul” whilst Patrick Cox, CEO of the charity, said “A hardy feed and warm welcome is exactly what the riders needed after a long, wet and cold start to their challenge. Thank you.”
