Soleheelers win the 2016 Take a Risk Business Competition

Take a riskThe winners of this year’s Take a Risk competition were Soleheelers, a company which plans to provide adjustable footwear.  One moment they’re flats, the next they transform to heels!
The audience vote went to ‘Voice’, which takes wearable technology to another level – gloves that translate sign language.
This year we had a record number of participants in this enterprise competition.  There were 42 lower sixth students, assigned to ten business mentors.  The teams met with their mentors three times, tapping into their invaluable advice.  The event culminated in the submission of a written business plan and a pitch during the Presentation Evening on 16 March 2016.   The students produced excellent work, showing a real dedication to the event, and the presentations demonstrated passion and enthusiasm.  All of the students should be commended for their perseverance and determination.
