OA Panel of Arts Professionals
Events
8 Jun 2021
Our Alumni & Development department in partnership with the Drama Department and Careers hosted an exciting panel of Old Ardinians from the Performing Arts and Entertainment industry. This virtual event enabled our panel to share insight from their decades of experience, offer advice and answer questions from our enthralled student audience – live and virtual. It was so valuable for our students to gain insight and knowledge into the creative sector and the diverse careers that exist within it.
Our Panel included: an Arts and Theatre Manager who has over two decades of experience managing and programming art venues across England and Wales. He is also a lecturer on Arts Management and Mentor through One Million Mentors Scheme. An award-winning actor with over a decade of diverse experience across film, television, stage and radio; A technical theatre professional with over 15 years’ experience in lighting design, stage management and production, specialising in musical theatre and continues to apply his skills as a teacher of Engineering and Design and Technology. Our final panellist was an award-winning television director who was part of the BBC team that created Strictly Come Dancing. He specialises in directing major live events and TV shows and has won multiple Emmy Awards for musicals.
A Truly inspirational event and we hope to host our panel in person soon.
