MINCE PIES AND MUSIC

The guests were welcomed with a warming cuppa before the Prep School Chamber Choir kicked off the musical segment of the morning with some glorious advent carols which were sung with a skill level far beyond their years.  There were solo performances from Monty Brown on saxophone, Isobel Charman on flute, Rebecca Horton on piano and Nikki Niewerth on trumpet, along with solo singing from Isobel Charman, Jacob Coughlan, Joy Duncan, Rebecca Horton, Emily Thomas and Emily Ward.  All the students performed with great confidence and thoroughly impressed the audience.

After a short break, which included the speedy disappearance of the all-important mince pies, the guests were invited to sing along to some classic and favourite Christmas carols.  The enthusiastic singing from students and senior citizens alike helped to create a joyful and uplifting event, enjoyed by all.
