Maths Team Challenge success!

On Wednesday 9th March, Eddie Castle and Jansen Lee from Shell, and Maddie Bowers and Chris Dunley from year 8 represented Ardingly in the Junior Maths Team Challenge event, held at the Holy Trinity Church of England School in Crawley.

They participated in four rounds including a Group round, a Head to Head to round (where each pair worked on out answers using a result generated by the other pair!), a Cross Number challenge (a Maths Crossword) and a Relay, where each pair worked out as many answers as possible against the clock. It was a challenging and exciting competition and the Ardingly pupils were able to put their Mathematical knowledge and lateral thinking skills to the test! The team competed very well, particularly on the final 2 rounds, and were able to finish a creditable 13th out of 25 schools.
