Road Safety Presentations in Schools: Educating Young People on Safe Driving Practices

At S.A.M.E Academy, we offer innovative road safety presentations in schools and other organisations to educate young people about safe driving practices and the importance of road safety. Our presentations are generally targeted at young people aged 12-25 and effectively promote driving awareness and youth road safety to a wide audience.

With the alarming statistic that 38,800 deaths and injuries in crashes involve drivers with less than two years of experience, it is clear that this is a widespread issue that needs to be addressed. Our road safety presentations in schools and organisations provide an opportunity to reach a large number of young people and educate them about the risks and responsibilities of driving and being a passenger.

Futures Programme

Introducing ‘The Futures Programme’, a comprehensive session preparing students for life beyond school. Whether they’re considering UK universities, overseas universities, apprenticeships, gap years, or alternative pathways, our Tuesday focus is on equipping them for success.

We encourage all students to start the UK application process, even if their plans are uncertain. Our step-by-step guidance simplifies the complex UCAS application form. We provide support in writing personal statements and essays for overseas universities.

To enrich the program, our recent graduate staff share insights from their own further education journeys. We also invite 2022 leavers to answer students’ questions about universities, gap years, and work experiences, offering invaluable firsthand information.

Throughout the day, UVI UCAS tutors provide dedicated support. ‘The Futures Programme’ ensures that Ardingly’s sixth formers have the guidance and resources needed to confidently shape their future paths.

One Day Job Challenge

Introducing the “One Day Job Challenge” as part of Life Skills Week. The LVI will engage in a job application simulation exercise. Prior to the challenge, they will receive preparation sessions on “What employers are looking for” and interview skills.

Students will apply for one of three fictional jobs by submitting an application form, CV, and cover letter. Throughout the day, professionals will conduct one-on-one interviews, observe practical and team-building tasks, and assess mini presentations—methods commonly used by companies in recruitment processes. Interviewers will provide individual feedback to students on their performance.

Scores will be tallied, and top performers will be “offered” each of the three jobs. The “One Day Job Challenge” provides invaluable hands-on experience, feedback, and insights into the expectations of employers, empowering students for their future careers.
