Practical Life Skills
During Life Skills Week every Shell (Year 9), Remove (Year 10) and Lower Sixth student will take part in a three to four-day programme.
Cookery, DIY, first aid, gardening and car maintenance are examples of the workshops that are offered during Life Skills Week, which takes place at the end of the Trinity term. Aside from this focused week, students have the opportunity to develop these practical attributes during the weekly Enrichment Programme curriculum.
The boarders in particular develop strong practical skills and independence. They learn to organise themselves, take care of their laundry, shop for essential supplies and are encouraged to participate in the organising and catering of house socials.
