On Thursday 25th June the Science and Geography departments hosted a panel debate on climate change and the issues surrounding the transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources of energy. Three OAs, who have spent their careers working in the energy, environmental and sustainability sectors joined the debate, which was lively and thought-provoking.
Reflecting on the debate Nino Mancino “The Ardingly Climate Change and Energy panel was a huge success, with over 300 viewers tuning in to hear a wide-ranging and stimulating discussion. The key message is that we can reduce our dependency on fossil fuels, but it will not happen overnight.”
