CELEBRATING THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES EVENING

Ardingly welcomes a prestigious group of professionals to the College to share their insights on working in the creative industries.

With careers as diverse as global brand marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, printing, photography, screen writing, production, social media, digital media and acting, we were delighted to welcome such a prestigious group of people to Ardingly College.  From companies including American Express, Conde Naste, Journalist Works, Gemini Print, The Clear Group, Space and Time and ISOBAR, the students were given great access to these talented individuals.

Each professional gave an introduction with an explanation of their background, how they got where they are today and tips for success.  Many brought visual cues such as always having a notepad and pen, camera or phone (with battery pack!).  A common theme of the evening was that many of the professionals did not map out their career from an early age but had followed their creative talents and ended up where they are today.

After the presentations, students mingled with the professionals and ​had the following views to share:

The Creative Industries evening was a new addition to our careers events at Ardingly College but was a great addition and wonderfully received.  We were very lucky to have such an Incredibly professional and impressive attendance.
