Ardingly College start the athletics season with four SISDL records

It was a cold and windy meet at Eastbourne, but that didn’t prevent our Ardingly College athletes racking up four Sussex Independent Schools Diamond League (SISDL) records.  Poppy Palmer-Malins was first in the Intermediate 1500m with a time of 4 minutes 54 seconds – a SISDL record. Ethan Cowdrey was first in the Junior 300m with a time of 40.10 seconds – a SISDL record, and Timi Esan was first in both the Intermediate 100m and 200m with times of 11.06 seconds and 23.09 seconds respectively, both SISDL records. Timi knocked 0.34 seconds off his winning 100m National Junior Championship record time of last year.

Alongside these records were ten first places in track and field events.
