Ardingly Coach and Player victorious in regional basketball tournament

Ardingly College was well represented in the England Basketball U17 Boys Regional Development Tournament that took place in Nottingham September 5 and 6.

Coach Karl was coaching the South East representative (Surrey, Sussex and Kent) that ended up winning the tournament. ”It was great to help the South East winning this tournament I think for the first time ever.”

Sixth former, Miguel Rodriguez had a great tournament and was in the middle of everything.  His South East team was drawn in a touch group but made it through to the final where they played the East team for the second time in the tournament.

South East were losing by as much as 13 points in the third quarter but once again they shown the resilience that seem to be a characteristic of this team to come back and beating the East by 4 points at the end.
