Archive
The Archive preserves and celebrates the College’s rich history and heritage. The collection is extensive and tells the story of the school from its foundation in Shoreham in 1858 to the present day. The Archive is home to a wide range of documents, photographs and artefacts, including original registers and ledgers, school magazines and publications, trophies, uniform and even Ardingly tokens once redeemable in the tuck shop!
The collection also includes personal items such as letters and diaries, including a set of letters written by a pupil in the early 1880s. A well curated and cared for Archive is a crucial part of the service we provide Old Ardinians now and in the future, as well as a resource that enriches the education of current Ardingly pupils.
