A SCHOOL ON THE WAY UP

Ardingly College jumps 91 places in The Sunday Times Independent Schools List.

The reputation of Ardingly College has been given a boost with the publication of the Independent Schools Table in the Sunday Times.

The College’s excellent A Level results in the summer have led to Ardingly being ranked 83rd in the Sunday Times List, a jump of 91 places.

Delighted with the academic achievement of the students, Ardingly College is going from strength to strength.  Whilst our focus on this academic success is hugely important, life at Ardingly College is not just about the results.  Current community projects such as visits to local care homes, donations to Haywards Heath foodbank, and car washing, give students who attend the College a wonderful opportunity of experiences beyond the curriculum.

Ben Figgis, Headmaster of Ardingly College said:

“I am thrilled that Ardingly College’s ranking reflects the brilliant results the students achieved in the summer.  Last year’s A Levels were particularly challenging, given the students were examined under the new system.”

The ranking was based on 2017 A Level examination results, with A* – B grades (double weighted) and is a jump of 91 places.   Leavers in the summer celebrated record results with 88% of students gaining A* – B.
