Football Report

November 21st
After a long drive to the hotel. We met up with each other, and first thing we did was go swimming! We found our rooms and there were awesome, like luxury. The food was good too. We were nice and relaxed for the tournament the next day.

Match day, November 22nd
All the year 8’s were wondering about their classmates on the French trip, but once we got to the tournament we didn’t miss them. Our tournament started brilliantly! We won our first match 2-1 goals from Louis Evans and Chris Holman. Unfortunately it didn’t get much better than that. We lost the next game 1-0 but should have won, I hit the post and possession wise we were all over them, but after I hit the post they went down the other end and scored. We lost the next game 1-0 again. Then we got a footballing lesson. We played Parkside school, and they hammered us 5-1. With captain Zooey Segal warming up in his car he missed the game. They had a few England or heslea players in their team, that’s what we have to strive for being the best, like they were. Then our final match was against St. Andrews Eastbourne and we lost 3-0 but Daniel Tjong made some good saves and I stopped a few shots of the line. All in all we had great fun. All our year 7’s will have another crack at it next year! Well done Zooey Segal, Dan Tjong, Louis Evans, Chris Holman, Jak Alock , Charlie Terrini, George Lambie, and finally Mr Tester and Mr Beard for taking us, and yes we are just as good as the girls!
