One of the best things about Ardingly is the incredible range of sports and activities on offer. We offer over 80 different sports and activities over the course of the school year, from aerobics to art, debating to drama, music to mountain biking and sailing to scuba.  Our sporting teams have achieved many successes at county and national level, but in spite of that, team sport is not compulsory, although you will be expected to take part in some of the activities on offer.

Drama flourishes at Ardingly, with at least one major production each term and many smaller or less formal productions as well.  Our Art department is first rate and the new Art School, which opens in July 2005, will provide even better facilities for those students with an interest in fine arts, fashion design and ceramics.  Over half the students at Ardingly College play a musical instrument and the quality and range of music on offer here is second to none.

Other opportunities include our Army based CCF unit, a thriving Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme programme, an active Charity Focus group and some fascinating opportunities for community service including our annual trip to Gambia.

We do recognise that while Ardingly offers an enormous range of opportunities, independent education is a costly proposition and, to that end, we offer a generous range of scholarships and sports award for talented students (for further detials see 'Scholarships ' on the Information page).
