Pupils’ delight at offers from Oxford and Cambridge

Ardingly College is celebrating the success of its students who have been offered places at the prestigious universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

Places were awarded to Wang Sum Luk, English Literature and Language, Oxford; Lilya Stewart, English Literature and Language, Oxford; Isabel Siebert Cáceres, German and Arabic, Oxford; Ferdinand Wieandt, Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Oxford; Abigail Horton, Music, Cambridge and Louis Inglesfield, Philosophy and French, Oxford.

“I’m thrilled to receive an offer from Cambridge to read Music. I’m so grateful for all the support, time and encouragement the teachers have given me, especially the Music Department and Mr Stafford, Director of Music”.

All the students have worked so hard and, as one student discovered, applying to Oxbridge requires putting your heart and soul into it. “It feels brilliant to be rewarded with an offer at the end of this long and difficult process.”

“We were recently placed in the top 2% of schools nationwide for adding value to A Level students. I am delighted for them and this builds upon the academic success of Ardingly College. The students have worked very hard to gain these offers and we wish them all the best of luck with their final exams”.
