Brother Paschal visits Ardingly College

We were delighted to welcome Brother Paschal to the Pre Prep. Brother Paschal has been at Ardingly College this week leading the Lent Mission, What Matters?

Brother Paschal is a member of the Society of St Francis and is currently based as Brother-in-Charge at the Shrine of our Lady at Walsingham. Our Provost, Bishop Lindsay is the Administrator of Walsingham.

Father David and Brother Paschal led one of our assemblies and Brother Paschal talked to the children about the life of St Francis, his work and his love of animals. He explained the significance of the three knots in the rope he wore on his habit. One stood for obedience, one for celibacy and one for poverty. He also spoke about the word joy. Joy standing for putting Jesus first, Ourselves second and Yourself last.

We were extremely lucky to have been able to meet Brother Paschal and the children enjoyed his assembly tremendously.
