Ardingly Pre-Prep School in Sussex is a happy, caring and welcoming school with an outstanding pastoral reputation which derives from our Christian heritage. Our children are challenged and stretched, but always encouraged and supported as they gain the basic foundations on which to build a sound education.   We encourage a love of learning in an environment where the art of creative and independent thinking and our Christian ethos helps develop our children's self-respect, courtesy and consideration for others.
 
The pre-prep school is housed within carefully restored Grade 2 listed Victorian farm buildings, within the College campus.  Pupils in the Pre-Prep enjoy all the College facilities, including the Chapel, sports halls, playing fields, swimming pool, music department and medical centre.  The beautiful grounds provide rich resources for learning, exploration and play.

We offer Before and After School Care in order to extend the normal school day, as well as a selection of after school clubs and activities.  The dedicated teaching staff are all fully qualified, and assisted by caring and qualified teaching support assistants.  The school also has access to specialist staff, who advise us on learning difficulties and the needs of high achievers.

Children can join our Pre-Nursery at any time after they reach the age of 2½, either full time or for just a couple of sessions a week.   They then progress through to Pre-Prep before moving on to our Prep School, the full details of which are shown on this site. Older children may join us at any age between four and seven.  Their education is based upon the shared aims and aspirations of the partnership between home and school.

On Friday mornings, parents are welcome to attend our Special Assembly during which children in Pre-Prep may recite a poem, sing a song or play a musical instrument.  After the performances, children's efforts and achievements, for that week, are praised and acknowledged.  We are proud of the excellent results achieved and many of our pupils win scholarships for academic, artistic, musical or sporting excellence, as they progress through the prep school and the senior school.
