There can be no doubt that Ardingly is a very special place to work and to learn. We believe that the decision about where to send your child for these early and formative years is one of the most important decisions of their lives. It is the early years in school that set the pattern for future learning and that reinforce the values and lessons that you have so carefully nurtured in your child at home.

Here at Ardingly Pre-Prep we take this responsibility very seriously. At the end of their time in the Pre-Prep school we aim to send confident, kind and happy children through to the rest of their school life. We believe that every child needs a firm academic scaffold on which to build their learning. We enable children to gain the basic skills of reading, writing, mathematics and scientific investigation on which they can build their future success. It is through the confidence that reading and academic success gives them that children at Ardingly become enthusiastic and independent learners.

Through the Woodard ethos, we nurture each child as an individual making sure they have the moral basis and interpersonal skills that will ensure that they are valued and useful members of society. We have highly qualified staff and optimum staffing levels to make sure your child gets all the support they deserve. Our curriculum is varied and challenging. It offers a variety of experiences that enable each child to discover their particular strengths and talents. Children at Ardingly soon learn about the happiness and fulfilment that comes from learning and working together as a community.

Parents are very important members of our school community. We work in close partnership as we believe that parental involvement and communication are central to your child’s success. We are able to offer an extended day to ensure that working parents are supported and a range of after school clubs to extend the children’s learning.

All this takes place within the lovely working environment and excellent facilities at Ardingly Pre-Prep. We have a beautiful school building refurbished to provide a safe and stimulating environment for young children and extensive grounds providing a variety of learning opportunities. We make sure to use our outdoor environment all year round with activities such as walks in the woods or lessons in our outdoor classroom. We offer Before and After School Care in order to extend the normal school day, as well as a selection of after school clubs and activities.
