Ardingly College works with families to ensure that pupils have high academic expectations, achieve success in public examinations and discover interests that will stay with them for life. 		British Biology Olympiad Once again Ardingly students have achieved success in this year's British Biology Olympiad. This annual competition attracts all the top independent and grammar schools around the country and several thousand sixth form Biology students enter. The first round is a very challenging 1 � hour examination on far- ranging topics in advanced level biology. The top gold medal winners go on to battle for a place in the British team which will compete in the International Biology Olympiad later in the year. Successful Ardingly students were: Elene Ueckermann � Bronze medal, Rob Stabler � Highly Commended, George Pinkerton � Commended, Timur Saurborn � Commended. Rob, George and Timur will receive certificates of their achievement from the BBO whilst Elene has accepted an invitation to receive her medal at an awards ceremony in London on 1 July from Professor Steve Jones, President of the BBO, research geneticist and author on a number of best-selling books on Darwin and his legacy.
