Three Schools One College

I am proud to be headmaster of one of Britain's finest independent schools - one that has recently celebrated its 150th anniversary. The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, sent his son to Ardingly and at an outdoor service marking the sesquicentenary celebrations Dr Sentamu said: 'Ardingly transforms children who may be just ordinary into extraordinary young people.'  It was a wonderful tribute. The spirit of Ardingly is undoubtedly unique. The College is part of the Woodard Corporation, founded to teach the Christian faith. We are a day and boarding school for girls and boys, with a rich mix of country, city, national and international students living and learning together.

Our aim is to enable all girls and boys to develop their love of learning, academic potential and individual talents in a caring community, which fosters sensitivity, confidence, a sense of service and enthusiasm for life. Please view 'The Ardingly Way' to read more about the ethos of Ardingly College, please click here to view.

Ardingly College is Nathaniel Woodard's ‘Jewel in the Crown', set in 250 acres of outstanding natural beauty in West Sussex, with amazing facilities, a short journey to London and the major airports. We offer a staggering breadth of activity and first division academic performance to about 540 boys and girls in the Senior School, and just over 910 in the College as a whole.

Whether in the classroom, in the music school, on stage or on the sports fields,  Ardingly offers pupils real choice to appeal to different tastes and talents. Pupils who opt to study A Levels gain outstanding results,  while those who choose the International Baccalaureate achieve top grades that are globally recognised. University offers, including a healthy percentage from 'Oxbridge and the Best,'  come in thick and fast.  There is a buzzing creative arts scene, a student-led law society, a flourishing divinity and philosophy group. Passion and expertise abound. Above all,  we are a community of committed boys and girls,  where everyone is known.

We are currently in a position of strength.  We are full to overflowing, but our class sizes remain small. Please come and visit; see us in action. You will be warmly welcomed.
