The Sixth Form
Ardingly
Sixth Form aims to develop confident young adults excited by, and equipped to
deal with, the opportunities presented by the wider world.
In 2009
Ardingly Upper Sixth Formers earned the best set of exam results yet in both A
Levels and the world-renowned alternative qualification, the International
Baccalaureate, studied by half the year group. Altogether, 76% of the 97-strong
cohort achieved A or B grades at A Level or the equivalent in the IB.
In the A
Levels the two highest achievers gained an outstanding five A grades at A
Level. Meanwhile, the nine top IB students all scored 40 points or higher,
placing them in the top 5% of all IB students worldwide. Ardingly students have
been offered places at Oxford and Cambridge, Bristol, Durham, Warwick, the LSE
and other top universities in the UK and overseas.
